Dear Students and Parents,
We are so excited to begin another school year, and have been busy setting up our classrooms and planning lots of interesting activities for the year. We hope you are feeling rested and ready to come back for a great year at Fayston School. We look forward to hearing about your summer adventures and sharing ours. There are still a few more days of beautiful summer weather so soak it up and enjoy!
Have you read a great book this summer? We hope so! Please plan on bringing in a book that you read over the summer to share with your classmates on the first day of school. We will be doing a couple of activities with the book and starting our new book blog using your great summer reads!
Lots and lots of boxes with supplies have been arriving all summer long, so there is no need for you to come to school with anything but a smile and a backpack! On the first day of school we will send home a homework folder that has our class lists, daily schedule, curriculum plan and homework policy. All of this information will also be on the website.
We have two new students joining us this year. Molly Friedman will be a third grader in Ms. Koch’s room, and Riley Smith will be a fourth grader in Ms. Lewis’s room. Please help us welcome them into our community.
As of Monday, August 19 the school will be using a new email address. All schools in the district will be switching to a universal domain. Our email addresses will be [email protected] and [email protected]. Please make the necessary changes in your computers and devices.
We look forward to a great year together. Please let us know if questions or wonderings arise before the first day of school. We will try to communicate via letters and information on our website every few weeks, and as the year gets going, with email reminders about special events or needs. Enjoy the rest of the summer. See you on Wednesday, August 28, with your book!
All the best,
Carla and Erin
