Two weeks ago we had our first ski day at Lincoln Peak. Last week we went to Mount Ellen. It was so much fun skiing in my group. We went on Pushover and we practiced our hockey stop. At Mount Ellen we went to the terrain park. I am in a group with Sidney, Savannah and, me. My coach is Patty. She is a Sugarbush instructor.
In P.E. we played sink the ship. You got 4 pins at each corner. If all your teams pins have fallen over you have to do a plank all together and Mr. Green would say if they were good. Then after that you would be able to stand only one pin up. Then you could keep playing. We started a new unit and itś overhand throwing. We used the small and big balls. You tried to knock over other people's pins.

This week we talked about Inventors and Innovators. An inventor is a person who invents things that they think will be helpful and useful. An innovator is a person whose idea of the world changes the world in some way. Next week we will chose a inventor or innovator for a report.
Last week we also wrote down all of the ideas that we wanted to invent, create or do. Then we underlined power words in it. After we drew portraits of ourselves, then cut off the top of our (paper) heads, and used the underlined words to come out of the head.
Last week we also made a winter mural and we read a book called Who Lives in the Snow?and we drew the different layers of the snow and where animals would live. One zone is the Subnivean Zone which is the under layer.

Last week we learned about 3 transferable skills
Self direction means to be able to take responsibility for your own learning independently and in a group.
Creative and practical problem solving means being able to solve problems and learn from mistakes. In math we have been working on bigger addition and subtraction problems. Also we have been practicing the SBAC For example 764+568=1,332
111
764
+568
-------
1,332
In Literacy we have been reading Inventions by Ned Janson We marked up the book. ?=question C=connection And !=wow this is really interestistingAnd !=wow this is really interesting. In chorus we have been singing Turn the World around and Somewhere over the Rainbow. In library we have been reading the 2017 Red Clover Books. I like Meet the Dullards. In art we are working with organic shapes and primary colors plus green. We are doing this for our Jhon Murio inspired work. That's what we did this week.
