Last week we had 4-winds.It was about birds migrating. They talked about the senses that birds use to stay on course. They gave us bird cards and we had to see if we stay or if we migrate. After that we went outside and we talked about the challenges that they faced. For a tag game we had people wear pictures of obstacles written on a card and the birds had to see if they could get through safely. We looked and listened for birds.

In PE, we did the sit-and-reach-test. We also did the curl-up-test. We had choice day during both. In art we did leaf wreaths with watercolor paint. We also redesigned our planes in science. In music we played an old Cherokee game where people in the circle passed around a rock, and the person in the middle had to guess who had it. We also colored turkeys based on what part of the treble clef was on the certain part.

Last week the class worked on gliders. We were making a decision if we were going to make a new glider. And we were also graphing gliders to see how far it would go. We were doing it for disaster relief for cargo. Last week we were working on opinions and facts. A fact is something that is true and a opinion is something that you think. And some of the facts we were doing is that Thanksgiving is always on the fourth Thursday of November. And some opinions are that cheese pizza is the best and that turkey is the best for Thanksgiving.

We made our second gliders. Most people made their designs different by changed their wings and horizontal stabilizer. I changed my wings. We were pretending we were providing people in disaster relief areas with supplies like blankets and food. We had to add binder clips. We used the binder clips as the stuff we were carrying. We flew them on Monday . They had to go at least 15 feet but they went farther.
