Last week we had our inventor and innovator reports finished and put up on the bulletin board. There were a lot of inventors and innovators on the board and there was even more options to pick from. The reports were really long and there was a picture of our inventor or innovator that we drew. There are a lot of facts too. For example I didn’t know Philo Farnsworth invented the tv.
Also last week we learned about the Iditarod. We learned it was a race that starts in Anchorage and goes to Nome. We also learned that it all started because Nome needed medicine for a disease called diphtheria. Now they just do it for fun but before they did that they needed the medicine fast. It was such bad weather they couldn’t fly a plane and they used a train but the tracks ran out before Nome. So, they used dog teams to take the medicine to Nome.
For Presidents Week we made slides about all the presidents from George Washington up to Donald Trump. There were a lot of facts that most people didn’t know about presidents like how George Washington never cut down a cherry tree. Or how Rutherford B. Hayes won one of the closest elections in history. It was nice to know all of those facts.

This week in school we learned how to play new games in P.E. We played two new games called Gaga Ball and Four square. They are both really fun but in our class Gaga Ball was the most popular. I mean some people played Four Square but not a lot of kids. This is how you play Gaga Ball so you have a Gaga Ball pit and you have a ball and you try not to get hit in the knee or lower and you can't throw it or pick it up you have to hit it. Are Gaga Ball pit was made out of tables so we had to try not to knock the tables over. This is how you play Four Square you have four boxes touching and one person is in each box. There are numbers for the boxes the numbers in order are 4,3,2,than it is king. You have a ball and the king starts with the ball every time. You try to bounce the ball once in your square than you have to hit it into another box than the other person has to hit it. Than if you do not hit the ball and it is in your box or it double bonuses you have to go to the back of the line or go to the box that is fourth place.

This past week I learned about the Iditarod race. The Iditarod is a sled dog race that takes place in Alaska. They run over 1000 miles! We read books about the Iditarod race. We also looked at the Iditarod website. We were able to read the blog, watch videos and learn more about the mushers. In math I learned about graphs and how they work. We learned about bar graphs and pictographs. In P.E. I learned gaga ball and 4 square. It was a lot of fun.
